I don't get common sense. It's not even common because you have to learn about it first for it to become common sense. Rarely any knowledge is innate.

i think when poeple say common sense..its like basic knowlegde...things you should KNOW to do, like

if you caught alight, you wouldnt go and pour oil over yourself, you would put water instead.
thats common sense!!

What if someone with a learning disability never retained that fact about oil or someone never studied science. They wouldn't find that fact "common".

once again,...people are more interested in sucessding. do anything too impuls-y...people wouldnt respect you as much, more look down at you.
attitudes deifinitly change in college. people WANT TO PASS :D


What if someone with a learning disability never retained that fact about oil or someone never studied science. They wouldn't find that fact "common".

I still don't believe there is such a thing as common knowledge because there are too many levels of it.

when poeple say common sense i just see it as being basic knowledge.....oil would make the fire worse, and thats basic knowledge, like the sky is blue and the grass is green :P

common sense is mre a wisdom thing. taking the shortest path to somewhere you want to get to quickly is common sense.
