Photoshop is, I believe, the flagship killer app of Adobe, of unrivalled quality, but which is the best solution for each purpose?
While Photoshop may be great for a professional graphics artist, would Gimp satisfy the needs of most people who want to make a cool avatar or something?

I like a certain amount of perfessionallism in my pictures so I use adobe
