A telescope......

Postby Anonymous » Sun Aug 13, 2006 10:11 am

I really want a telescope! They are really expensive and I'm sure I'll be having problems with using it when I first get it.
I think I'll need some expert to help me. And I don't really know which one to start with. Well....
Have any of you tried a telescope? And what is it like?
It must be fantastic. I would like to join the local astronomy club too.

What kind of telescope? there are lots of different sizes and powers of telescope. There are the refraction telescopes, which use lenses to magnify images, and reflectoin ones, which use mirrors. I'm sure you alrerady know that. though.

My grandfather who lives about 5 minutes away has a telescope. I've used it several times to go star gazing since their house it away from alot of lights.

But a truly awesome telescope would be a radio telescope, one, because those things are frikkin huge, two, you could convert it from time to time to a sattelite receiver, and get pwnful reception, and three, of course, you could see the furthest objects away from the Earth with vivid detail.
