me and moriarty peoplewatch at the bus station and theres this guy we found otu loads about just by him taking the bus a couple of times that kate went on and coming to the bus stop. We call him Lecturerer Guy:

he is a lecturer at Sheffield
he smokes, but is trying to stop- takes niccotine chewies
he sports a new nice red anarak
he likes his music
he has an ipod
he had a girlfriend but i dont think they go out anymore cos we havent seen her for ages
spends a lot of time in matlock
i know where he lives but its not nice to tell people on the internet that stuff

i'd just like to say, me and moriarty do not have too much time on our hands, we just use efficiently.

Im not sure I observe people with the same passion that you do hubble, but I have done the same thing before. I particularly enjoy watching people at my high school. Normal people are amusing on a day to day basis, but high school students are among the most unpredictable people known to man. One day a person can habg around school and do nothing, and the next day they are dating someone that they never talk to. It is actually quite an amazing site to see.

I admit that I too people watch.
My favorite thing to do is freak people out by calling them by name.

I know somebody who walks up to complete strangers at
weddings and say "I'm so glad you were albe to make it."

as being awkward goes, i'm pretty high. i'm pretty high in a lot of ways: :lol:

but if you yell "Dave!" where i live, like 9 people turn around. what you have to do is run and hug people in train stations. thats the best. i've never done it because i hate hugging people myself, but i've seen it done to complete strangers and its so darn funny!

I know somebody who whenever hei s in a large group of people,
(example, at a baseball game) he yells"Hey Gary!" to see who turns around.

Thing is, this backfired on me once.
I see this guy that I didn't recognize and had seen him several times.

It didn't occur to me that he might be a new neighbor.
So for some reason the aforementioned joke pops into my head while I'm wondering who this guy is.
I yell "Hey Gary!" and to my mortification he turns and says "Yes?"

I quickly explained about the joke and that it was a coincidence that it happened to be his name.
He's looked at me weird ever since.

I would put TRUE STORY down here except it's unbelieveable enough as it is.
So I'll just say "Believe it, or not."

my geography teacher gave me this weird statistic: if you go to matlock[a local small town of mine]every two days for 4 years, it is very likely everyone you see who does the same thing you will have seen before. does that make sense to you? i worded that weird.

People watching is definitely fun. A great pastime for someone as socially retarded as myself. I also go on covert ops when suspicious people park outside my house. Bike riding is a good one, ride down the street but look as you go then go back and have a second look.
