'Gangsta'

'Gangsta'

Postby EdTheN00bProgrammer » Wed Aug 22, 2007 2:54 pm

Why do so many people aspire to be 'gangstas'? Is it the promotion of the lifestyle by many rappers? Have they played too much GTA? Is it because they esteem physical force higher than rational persuasion? Is it an attempt to deviate from the relatively civilised norm? Do they just say it to shock people? Is it due to a culture when hard people are aspired to and gangsters are usually hard? If so, why would someone want to be a gangster, instead of a soldier? Is it because they aspire to Al Capone or something? Or is it a hatred of crips or a hatred of bloods? Is it because chavs/neds/bams/pikeys/rudeboys and jocks dominate the school? Is it due to another reason or combination of reasons?

Why?
Culture is boring - reject it.
Hobbies are interesting - indulge in them.

It's the stupid media, really. Same reason why so many teenage girls follow celebrity trends.

I said "so many teenage girls" not "all teenage girls".

PWNED.

By saying "so many teenage girls" you make it highly probable that you are one of the "so many" so it would only be LOGICAL to assume you were included in that statement.

"Highly probable"...

I am many things that it is not very probable to be.

I made that statement based on what I see around me, not what I myself do.

And you made the statement based on what you see around you, and what you see around you makes what you see around you the most probable thing, because what you observe is all you will ever have to work with, so, with my observances, of the fact that you included "so many teenage girls" in that statement lead me to include you because otherwise I would be basing my logic on something improbable, which makes it less likely then something probable, which makes it illogical because logic is the most likely path that something will take based on all evidence gathered by observation and disambiguation. Just because something is statistically improbable does not make it logically impossible.

It is logically impossible if a person is using only a narrow field of logic in order to prove his incredibly weak point.

Do you realize you've just made an arguement against yourself?

................................Yes, I guess I changed sides and then read my old post, brilliant... Ok, new argument, if the media was so stupid then why do the stupid people follow it around like a bunch of drones? I think that the media is backed by people who understand how to manipulate, and are not stupid... They sure don't care about trends, they are in it for the money. And I must congratulate them on being so bloody good at it.

Fine. I'm not going to argue this one, because you're right. Plus, I don't want you mad at me.

I just said "stupid media" because I don't like the media. I say "stupid Bill Gates" a lot too, even though I'm sure he's very intelligent.

(OMG did I just compliment Bill Gates?)

I will permanently associate that song with the movie Office Space.
